If you didnโt notice, Kafka actually protected those two officers behind him by standing there like that, he acted like a windbreak for the shockwave! If you look at the scene where the officers are arresting him, when it shows a wide shot, you can see how the damage stops in that area. Iโm not 100% sure thatโs what caused the damage to take that shape, but itโs what I chose to believe! Also, when Kafka is punching the wyvern bomb, you might have noticed that his eyes werenโt shadowy like it usually is when heโs transformed, but looked human, with white sclera. Either his transformation was already chipping away, or that desire to protect his fellow officers was so strong and human that it shone through. The eyes are the windows to the soul, and all Kafka wanted there was to protect them, with his whole heart and soul. I adore Hoshina, and Ichikawa (his English VA is the same as Yujiโs, it delights me) but Kafkaโs honestly my favorite!

2024-11-16 19:36:09 +0000 UTCHoshina is that guy, never let people bring him down and used his genius skills to become vice captain when everyone thought he couldn't make it. I love a short king ๐ Mina and her tiger are so badass, it's not like made a big deal but just think about how fricken cool that is ๐ Kafka sacrificing himself to save everyone, knowing the possibility that he would lose everything at the same time ๐ฅฒ what a hero. this episode : ๐๐โ๏ธ๐ฌ๐ฃโ ๏ธ๐๐คบ๐คฏ๐ฅ๐ช ๐ก๏ธ ๐ฟ๐ฑ end credits : โจ๐ฅฐ๐๐๐ฉท๐๐ซ๐๐บ๐ป

2024-11-11 14:05:48 +0000 UTCFinally became a VIP member just to catch up on Kaiju no.8 specifically lol. Also bc I really like this episode. Hoshinoโs a short guy and Iโm a short guy so of course heโs tied for my favorite character, along with Kafka of course. Love that we get more background on him. I really wanna pet Minaโs tiger, it just looks so soft bc I KNOW a cat lady like Mina maintains that large kittenโs fur. Tiger lowkey saved everyone by unintentionally alerting everyone/Kafka. Am I the only one who thought of Kaiju #10 being like a Power Ranger villain? Like he had a small form he โdiedโ in so he then grew huge and stronger. But I binged like 5 or yallโs reactions to this while cleaning up my desk and doing my nails (after not tending to them for over a month ๐ฌ). Now to go catch up on the JJK and Haikyu reactions bc with multiple birthday parties (I think I have too many brothers lol), cooking for powwows, and tribal ceremonies I have fallen very much behind.

2024-11-11 10:11:58 +0000 UTChoshina's resilience is unmatched. he was running on fumes and yet he refused to succumb to exhaustion. i'm glad we got some backstory on him because it really fleshes him out as a character. he is easily another favorite of mine. as we near the end of this series I would love to know who your favorite character is and curious to see if your picks differ. ๐

2024-11-10 22:52:34 +0000 UTCYall dont get mad at Mina. All military bodies have protocols that have to be followed in certain instances. I'd imagine her being like ope you're Kafka, you saved us, you're good to go, wouldn't go over very well. Also her tiger proping her up against the recoil of her gun is badass

2024-11-10 18:18:48 +0000 UTCDoes anybody else get "Stranger Things" vibes from Kaiju No. 10's mouth..... No? maybe it's just me. Loved your reaction J&J, since you guys are almost done with Kaiju No. 8, I have a couple of recommendations for short anime: Kids on the slope and Run with the wind, they are both short 12 episode anime; maybe you can include them in your next poll!
