Supporter Certificates for all Patreons

Hi!

You may have noticed the support tab in the Sandboxie settings with a place to paste some sort of certificate.

Its the place for a supporter certificate, and you can get yours here  https://xanasoft.com/get_cert.php just enter the email you are registered on patreon and download it.

You may ask "what does it do"?

Currently nut much it removes the "Support ... on patreon" from the tool bar and help menu (after a restart). But in future there may be features available exclusively to supporters.

Cheers

The certificates ar issued manually so its not instantaneous, you only joined 6 days ago, if you try now it should work.

I have not received my certificate and the site to enter email doesn't give me anything

the one you are registered at patreon with, also note since the certs have to be manually created, there is no autmated mechanism for patreon they will be available some time after you become a patreon not imminently, yours is ready now

The provided email could not be recognized, if you are a supporter please contact us by email to find your certificate. What email address?

When does the Certificate become available? I have registered and pledged an amount but that amount won't be deducted until Dec 1st, is that when the CERT. becomes available? My email address is not recognised at the moment.

I started with these, but it won't accept it, even after rebooting the system. "This support certificate is not valid" message when I insert it in the text field (enter the support certificate here) and press the Apply button.

You should open the dat file in a text editor like note pad and paste its content into the box in the +settings that should work. Alternatively you can put the Certificate.dat into the installation directory and reload the driver. If nothing of this works I'll have to debug the issue

Hi! How to insert the Supporter Certificates (Certificate.dat) file into a text field? I do not understand. I have copied the content, but that is not good either. Thanks for the program! Now (0.9.5)the automatic deletion works.

Understandable, but you know when I read in various support requests... "something something my 500 clients with sandboxie... something something" I think clients -> money -> cash flow for using sandboxie ... and I don't get any of it. That's not fair given how much work I put into it. So something needs to change. If any of the people that has clients would chip in here on the 100+€ tier that would be different, but that's with one exception not the case. Also for a busyness that's even to cheap to be honest.

I like the idea of a badge or whatever in the UI, but honestly, I would rather NOT have backer-exclusive features in the software itself. It would be great if you could keep Sandboxie as F/OSS as possible. I want everyone to be able to enjoy this great software.

I'm seeing "Thank you for supporting the development of Sandboxie-Plus" notice. Okay, in the current build this line "This supporter certificate has expired, please get an updated certificate." is always shown. Thanks

> This supporter certificate has expired, please get an updated certificate. > then unload and reaload the driver, there is currently no code to check for any sort of expiration , also don't post the cert publicly. Actually I think in the current build this line is always shown there is no code to hide it, will be fixed in the next build
