She pushed aside hanging vines and trudged through knee-high ferns, hardly noticing the sweat trickling down her forehead. After what felt like an eternity of searching, she stumbled across a hole in the ground obscured by overgrown foliage.
"This must be it," she muttered, wiping her brow and peering into the abyss below. The hole widened into darknessโa foreboding entryway to uncharted secrets.
Without a second thought, Lara secured a rope to a sturdy tree and began her descent.
