2024-05-08 12:34:23 +0000 UTCI know I'm a little late here. I took a break for my exam so I'm catching up now, but I think it's worth clarifying the scene at around 14 minutes. When Magath is talking about conscription, he isn't doing this because he enjoys war or wants Marleyans to participate, he's saying that the Marleyans support the war, because to them, they sit at home and receive good news about how Marley is "saving the world" or beating the bad guys. He's pointing out that perhaps if Marleyans were conscripted and normal people had to experience what war is actually like, then perhaps there wouldn't be as many people supporting it.

2024-04-15 20:10:33 +0000 UTCAbout Magath and Willy's conversation on the balcony, what Magath is saying essentially is that he wants to bring back conscription for Marleyan so that having them fight their own wars would make them less trigger-happy about starting wars with others. Because so far they've been using Eldians and foreign conscripts to fill up their ranks. He links the "spirit" of Marley to the statue of Helos, because they are both empty inside.

The reason why it may have not made sense is due to the fact they were speaking indirectly to each other because what Wiley is suggesting, and Magath agreed to, probably shouldn't be talked about so openly.

2024-04-15 15:15:56 +0000 UTCNot spoilers just answering a few question that you should have known (it was hinted but don't blame u for not knowing) -so the Tyburs are treated like royals because as they mentioned in ep2 they helped in defeating the eldian king in the great titan war, so they are the only eldians that are treated with respect. because they "saved the rest of the world". -Eren can halt his healing just like Reiner did in season 2 (his arm) -the fat guy who the crowd didn't like was "Probably" the leader of Marley (aka Trump figure XD) and Marley as we know were flexing their titan powers and being at war with most of the other nations. Willy on the other hand was the descendant of the eldian bloodline who saved the rest of the world from the eldian king. so he's a crowd favorite. you actually figured out many things that most people didn't notice, like Grice (Grisha's recruiter in the revolutionists) being Falco's uncle, remember him screaming his name on top of the wall in season 3. and Eren's grandfather, u caught that early on in the conversation (before the flashbacks).
