Another good reaction to this show. I love the flashbacks because they give you some better understanding without having to have the characters always just talk about their past. Also the flashbacks are the overall story of the show as you will see going forward but not wanting to spoil anything but the flashbacks become important.

Last week it was Finch this week Reese, they help you engage with the characters more than a simple crime show would do. Fun fact Joey is married to Miss Winifred Burkle irl.
