My only gripe with this episode is that Sam has confused the term 'cricket bat' with the term 'croquet mallet'. The item he's holding is the former, and is considerably less obscure.

2024-01-18 20:52:21 +0000 UTCSam is such a deep thinker; with Elenore's situation hitting him square in the face, he saw what she was willing to give up to have a life she so desperately wanted but he also saw the other side - she metaphorically sold her soul and withered inside, putting a wall up, to ignore the dark and bloody side of her existence. I'm sure having someone like Brick, who he worshipped in his teen years (and continued to, through the early part of the episode) tumbled from his pedestal did not help Sam's state of mind. I also think the grip of his big brother being his hero and always being at his side has loosened. Sam can see himself right back at the beginning , breaking free from the life and escaping to Stanford. Ironically, the hardened Dean who returned from Purgatory is making Sam's decision easier. *On a side note, the police officer that was getting snarky with Dean at the station, is Jensen's dad. He is an actor/voice actor. I love that scene and the looks between them. Solid gold.
