2023-11-10 02:30:50 +0000 UTCThis might be my favorite episode of the entire series, it has everything in it that makes this show great, impressive writing, perfect expansion on the lore and world building, action packed and pivotal romantic scenes, you can’t get better television than this! This episode shifts the entire series to something different from what season 1 was and I love it, this is when things kick into overdrive! I’m so ready for the reactions!

Elijah is here I loved your reaction to watching him come back 😂I immediately told myself Liam is gonna love him hahaha. Rose another one of my favs is here. The mention of the originals and Klaus it's all coming here, you're in for a great ride here forward. Another great moment was your reaction to Elijah slicing off Trevor's head it was epic 😂🤭 The ending scene is done so well Ian acted so so well in it, the tear running down his face the music it all worked sooo freaking well. Me being a Delena shipper this moment means a lot to me 🥺 and damon saying I can't be selfish with you and that stefan deserves her more that was so selfless of damon to say so touching it always moves me to tears. Lastly I absolutely loved the brother bonding this episode the road trip stefan apologising to damon and damon got emotional hearing Stefan's words it's all so so beautiful I love their bond so freaking much ....

Congratulations, you just met the reason why The Originals exists. 😄 In the books, there's just Klaus, and Elijah was originally (heh) planned on the show as a one-off henchman. However, Daniel Gillies just walked in and stole the show, so here we are.

The first mention of the Originals, the first mention of Klaus, the first appearance of Elijah, the reveal at the end that a stake through the heart didn't kill Elijah, and a lot of lore drop. Exciting stuff! It gets you revved up for what is coming. Didn't Katherine say a storm is coming? It was both entertaining and painful to see Damon's face when he thought Elena was rushing to his arms and then to see it drop when he realized she wasn't. It was like one of those people who is certain they are going to win a major award, only to hear another person's name called.

A few minutes ago, I sat down with my coffee, said "awwww" when I saw TVD hadn't dropped, and was planning on watching some more Dark Shadows until it did. After futzing around getting situated, I discovered the show just posted! Perfect! lol That is in NO way a criticism of when and what you post, merely an amusing (to me) observation. I only subscribe to 4 reactors on Patreon, having chosen top-tier reactors I truly enjoy, and you are one of the most prolific posters and with quality shows. Don't forget to take your breaks/vacations to not get burnt out! 😄 PS: That is Dark Shadows the original series that I'm watching, not the movie, which was a *travesty* to Dark Shadows fans and was completely opposite of everything the series was. 😝
