This season is just so so good. I love Damon but he pissed me off this episode on the other hand Stefan was a sweetheart I love the scene of Stefan helping Caroline it's so sweet she really needed that... on another note I loved the ending scene of damon and Jeremy as you said it seemed they could team up in the future 😅 it was a sweet interaction they had there.

As an aside, I rather suspect (not confirmed) that Caroline was inspired by the character of Caroline Stoddard from the original Dark Shadows series (NOT the travesty of a film they did). Although that Caroline was not a vampire, there are a lot of similarities in personality, demeanor, appearance, and even the romantic highs & lows. Coincidentally, my best friend, who is one of my TTRPG friends I've known since high school, is also named Caroline! Happily for *her* sake, she does not share anything in common with this tragic character, LOL.
