Great rec! I am a novelist myself, and have found so much inspiration from Stephen King's works, but I haven't read anything by his son. We still own a house in Maine (I lived in New England for most of my life), even though we live in Vegas now, and every once in a while, a friend will run into him at the doctor or grocery store.

I'd recommend The Fireman by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King), who also wrote the graphic novel Locke & Key is based on. Apart from being a great thriller novel, it's partly set in Portsmouth NH, where its main character lives and works.

This episode has a special place for me, as a former resident of Portsmouth, NH. LOL! (I can absolutely see The Cheshire Cat there!) I also spent a lot of time as a teenager hanging out in Harvard Square. I love seeing Lorelei's vulnerability come through even while she is acting like the free spirit that she is, but man, sometimes I wish I could just shake her... or drive her to therapy myself!
