I love Annie this season. She's the best part of it for me: a decision to be herself and fight for the right thing instead of just victory no matter the cost. I see her established idealistic character as her reason, which works well for me - a show this cynical needs an idealist to balance things.

She is so damn fixated on Soldier Boy and calling him a killer (not untrue - but she is too), when Homelander has probably killed more people in his shorter life. I don't disagree with her assessment of Hughie, but I also understand him. She doesn't think about what he's feeling or going through. MM has a valid reason for wanting SB contained and Hughie & Butcher depowered, Annie doesn't IMO. Obviously SB is triggered by Russian music/language, so they've got to find a way to keep him calm or mellow so it doesn't trigger his blast, unless he consciously wants it to. The reason it took him longer to power up when they had Homelander down, was because he just used his blast. Oh, and next week there is a scene with The Legend, and HE IS LYING IMO. He would have to be 90 yrs old to relate what he tells us about SB. It's disgusting that Antony Starr did not get nominated for an Emmy for this episode alone, not to mention all his other great work throughout the season.
