You talked about Xena and Gabrielle representing the dark in the light for each other. Did you notice that in their little dance that they were depicted as ‘Yin’ and ‘Yang’ yet again? Just the way the costumes worked with the colouring. Okay, I guess flesh isn’t white so to speak but you see what I’m saying. It was intentional. If you look up some snapshots of it from the production you’ll see what I mean. Lined up with each other they display the yin-yang symbol.

With the dark pigment of their blood flowing to the mind and heart - they immediately attract each other and embrace as only lovers before the lovemaking would do. It is highly entertaining! I love how Gabrielle shoots Lucifer a death glare and he smirks. So funny! Xena is a seductress and Gabrielle is a green-eyed beast

But those damn censors. They never let us have anything explicit. “Evil, the dark side. It’s intoxicating, isn’t it?” “Oh, yeah… it’s intoxicating” This is probably the gayest and most explicit episode of the whole show. I mean I would say this is the gayest episode, but then there's 'When Fates Collide'... And yet some people still think they weren't screwing. That's two women that know each other's bodies well to be able to draw that kind of response from each other.

XD Anyway, even though it wasn't in the most healthy of contexts, we can see quite clearly that this season is moving back towards what I consider the best part of the show: focusing on Xena and Gabrielle's intense and sometimes sensual love for each other!
