Bon Jovi rocks... on occasion. True Dean, true. That song is a big Supernatural song now. Jensen sang this on stage at a convention with Corey Taylor from Slipknot and it is EPIC - Jensen can actually sing. I also sang this on stage at Karaoke at the Supernatural convention 2 weeks ago... I chose it because I knew everyone would help sing along with it because of this episode. There I was on stage with some cast members rocking out to this song - one of the most surreal nights of my life... (the only person at karaoke on stage you know is the actress who plays their mum) I wish I discovered Supernatural conventions years ago... I'm making up for it now though lol

2022-11-17 19:36:27 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if you caught it, Liam, but there is one final long-drawn out wail of 'SAAAAAAMMMMM!' between the cut to black and the credits beginning to roll, which doesn't seem to be in your video here. For me it really adds chills to the idea of Dean being truly in Hell and without hope, so I'd recommend watching it before 4x1.

2022-11-17 08:55:56 +0000 UTCThis episode is an emotional train wreck from the iconic ‘Carry On My Wayward Son’ finally intro. Bobby’s ever memorable ‘Family don’t end at Blood, boy.’ And the last hope for Dean dwindling away with the last scenes. It’s heartbreaking(not that supernatural doesn’t end in heartbreak like every season)and what I saw as a huge turning point for the series, much like Buffy’s death in that exact episode you brought up in parallel to Dean’s, supernatural seems to go through a similar shift in tone though not in any way I can accurately describe other than ‘bigger’. Seasons 1-3 are my go to for rewatching when it comes to the series and holds some of my favorite episodes, but I have been waiting for us to enter the world of season 4+ as we step into a new stage of the Supernatural story! So excited, and I can’t wait for the next episode now that we are finally here!
