In my opinion this is a top season 1 episode. I think of a couple when I think of charmed S1 and this is one of them.

2022-09-07 22:51:37 +0000 UTCI love not just the childhood story and first addition to the book aspects of this episode, but also how the spell evokes thoughts of Gandalf. It's very much a 'you shall not pass' spell, and I enjoy how it lets me think of the sisters as the wielders of a magical 'secret fire' of their own sort.
