Return to Chin episodes I don’t hate them but god - they really should have just left that whole arc alone. It just doesn’t work in the same way they did with Lao Ma and ‘The Debt’ episodes. Rob Tapert hates these episodes. And I don’t blame him. “We have to stop desiring and become what we desire.” That’s not what Lao Ma meant at all.

2023-11-24 18:41:54 +0000 UTCJoxer was the ORIGINAL Seamus Finnigan One of the funniest moments in all of ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’, was when Joxer discovered the secret ingredient to the formula for the black powder in the season 5 episode, ‘Purity’. Look at how Xena pulls Gabby to her side before Joxer throws the ingredient into the cauldron. She knows exactly what will happen. I’d say this is my favourite Joxer moment. Too funny!

2022-08-29 08:02:48 +0000 UTCNot much fond of this episode. Pao Tsu channeling Lao Ma's powers through the purity of hate really bugs me because it contradicts to what we are told in The Debt. Lao Ma herself said that the only way to channel these powers is to stop hating.
