Faithful, Too: “Game 46 W and Game 47 W = SWEEP”
Added 2025-05-19 00:51:04 +0000 UTCSave a couple of eventless middle innings of Saturday baseball on TV, it was a Cubs-free weekend for yours truly. Those innings were sandwiched between an outdoor visit with Loser Mel (craft fair) and an indoor visit with Loser Randall (Friendship: funny). The Cubs continued on from their blowout on Friday to win 7-3 behind another solid performance from Matthew Boyd, whose ERA is below 3 nearly 1/3 of the way through the season.
Today, a visit from friends out of town led to a walk about town while the Cubs beat the White Sox about 30 minutes away, 6-2, for only their second three-game sweep of the season. Feels nice to beat the bad ones handidly.
