Faithful, Too: “Game 23 W & Game 24 L”

My Saturday consisted of runs to Half-Priced Books, Michaels, and two Walmarts before getting home just in time to see the Cubs celebrate a 6-2 victory against the DBacks; the rare time that the Cubs have been up against the DBacks and actually held onto the lead. Cubs won the series outright, which made the frustrations of Sunday’s loss easier to bear.
3-2 DBacks in 11. I didn’t watch one second of this one, either, having hosted Easter at my apartment throughout the day. I’ll take family and friends over a Cubs loss. Plus, I don’t feel compelled to talk much more about it with only reporting to report on. Hey, Sunday should also be a day of rest.
One note: the Cubs fall to 2-6 in the final games of series this year but are a blessed 12-4 in all other games. I’ll take the pace.
Sandwiched between two off days in one week are two at home against…the Dodgers. Jesus. Thankfully, this is the end of this matchup. I’ll be happy to see the Cubs split two and effusive with praise if they get both. Let’s go…
