I'm a little bit older than the Losers, so I was more about grunge, but I did see some harbingers of nümetal--Helmet, Tool-- in clubs back in the day. If I was listening to nümetal it meant that I was watching MTV in the middle of the night and just totally wasting my life. It's 4am and I just heard Staind; up next, Fat Joe with Ashanti. Good times
