Jenn's King Character Corner: Sadie Dunhill

King’s Dominion is a vast tapestry with many connecting threads. Stephen King loves to revisit his favorite characters, and we love to talk about them. In order to tackle the sprawling worlds of the King catalogue, co-host Jenn Adams is embarking on a deep dive on some of our favorite characters, be it the villains, the heroes, the couples, the clowns, and everyone in between. Both on the page and on the screen. Constant Listeners, you've just been invited to Jenn's King Character Corner.

Sadie Dunhill doesn't make an appearance in Stephen King’s 11/22/63 until well past page 300, but this feisty librarian quickie makes the story her own. Sadie dances onto the scene, changing the lives of her students while winning the heart of a time traveling teacher. And she wins our hearts as well.

In this edition of King’s Character Corner, Jenn Adams, Julia Marchese, and special guest Deanna Chapman will trace Sadie’s story from Sadie Hawkins Chaperone to Citizen of the Century.

Is this King’s best literary love story? Is all that pound cake gratuitous? Does meeting Sadie’s mother make her actions more impressive and how does Sadie fit into Jake’s true purpose? They’ll tackle all these questions and more in the final chapter of our 11/22/63  journey.
