I vaguely remember the "based on The Colorado Kid by Stephen King" marketing, but I hadn't read the novel at the time, so I don't think it even occurred to me after the first few episodes that the show had anything to do with King. I haven't thought much about the show since it ended and there's a lot I've forgotten about, so maybe it's time for a rewatch. I also have some affection for Eric Balfour - I think I first became aware of him from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He also had a pretty significant role in 24.
