Fun fact a group of crows are known as a murder and seeing a murder of crows in your yard is a bad omen so it has a double meaning. The song implies one or more someoneโs died in a dui. Hence why the group of friends reminds the person of a group of crows aka a murder.

2024-12-10 09:52:06 +0000 UTCYou probably got this explanation in the first batch of comments, but just in case: Miss American and the Heartbreak Prince is really about the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, and Taylor's disillusionment when Hillary Clinton lost, and Trump won. "I counted days, I counted miles To see you there, to see you there It's been a long time coming, " refers to waiting so long to see the first woman president. " We're so sad, we paint the town blue Voted most likely to run away with you My team is losing, battered and bruising I see the high fives between the bad guys Leave with my head hung, you are the only one Who seems to care American stories burning before me I'm feeling helpless, the damsels are depressed Boys will be boys then, where are the wise men? Darling, I'm scared" refers to her team- the Blue Democrats losing the election. She left the country and moved to England in 2017 after the election. Darling I'm sacred refers to her fears about the sexist and racist Trump policies that will take effect. It's a coded political song.
