Meet a new character with the first part of chapter 2.
I was going to save writing about this for the monthly report, but why bother. Unless the date is close, from now on I will just post thing as I get done with them.
The chapter itself is not done yet, I am thinking of at least 2 to 3 more plot beats before Chapter 2 is over.
For now, you can access the start of Chapter 2 directly from the place holder menu. On the final release I plan to have the chapters unlock as you play, but I won't bother working on that until the game itself is closer to finish.
Overall, I think I spend too much time animating this tiny part of game. In my opinion, this short introduction event to chapter 2 is better animated than the entire chapter 1. Chapter 1 is a bit anemic so that is not a hard bar to reach.
Ideally, animation efforts should be more even across the game, otherwise the game may feel disjointed.
I could benefit from having more disciplined going forward.
