Monthly Report March 2023

It was a very unproductive month as expected, but I did do something.

I was tired of throwing art away when I couldn't make proper uses of them. So I decided, at minimum, to make a mini game with what I drawn. Above is the result.

That is pretty much the entire game play. If you lose 3 times, you'll see one more animation, but that's all there is in the current prototype.

I plan to make it ramp up faster, so that it will feel less boring.

For it to be complete, at minimum, it still needs:

• A proper name and story
• An intro
• Extended animation for the final animation.
• Endings - currently thinking of having 4, each with one static image.
• Sound effects

The rough story idea so far, is that Part Timer chan couldn't sell enough shitty coffee to fill her quota, so her manager told her to rub her tits on customers to convince them to buy their overprice product. Determined to not lose her job, Part Timer chan gets jiggly. 

Original Plan

Originally, the art was done for something similar to Karryn's Prison barmaid minigame. I fizzled out on it before I even finishing drawing 2 animations.

I think I understand why. In a way, this was similar to my last idea. The game would start out "normal" and slowly devolve into sex.

As I wrote last time, I wanted to make that idea work but couldn't get started proper. That is because I don't care about "normal".

If a game ask me if I want to sleep with this random person, I would always click yes. I plan games in a similar way, I think of the inappropriate things in it first and work backwards.

That makes most of the game a chore to think about, but it really shouldn't be that way. Inappropriate things are only titillating, if appropriate things are the norm and exists. 

There are some value in making the player pick a no brainer choice, but it is always so much better when it has real consequences. At least, that is how I feel about it currently.

Going forward, I plan to flip the way I design games around. I'm going to try to look at something I like making as is, and insert the lewds into it later.

Part of me suspects that I had arrived at this conclusion before and just somehow forgot. Getting old I guess.

Next Up

I'm going to casually finish up this minigame, while I spend most of my brain matter on rethinking the bigger size project I been wanting to get started on. 

It is also tax season. My taxes is not that complicated, but I am always scared of filing something wrong. It is free heart attack with every notification!

If doing taxes doesn't kill me, I'll see you guys in April.
