Monthly Report June 2022

I wasn't motivated to do anything after finishing the RE8 Ethan comic, so I spent time doing some drawing practice.

I'm trying to incorporate highlighting into my drawings and change the focus of how I shade. I'm not sure I grasp the principle behind highlighting, sometimes it looks good, some times it looks weird.
Oh well, more experimentation required. I could go read a book on it, but I don't learn well that way (or maybe just too lazy to read).
On to the topics of games, I made the decision to move Waitress back into the drawing board. The more I test play the prototype the less the mechanism of the game made sense.
The game wants the player to to avoid being harassed by the clients, but all the sexy content idea is on interacting with the clients. It is like making a game that doesn't want to be played.
There are also performance issues with the assets I was using with Waitress. I never expected a 2d game can cause mini freezes to my computer just to load 1 animation, but here I somehow managed to make one. My computer is not new, but it really shouldn't choke on 2d assets. It is a waste to just throw away the few assets I already drawn, so I'll just post them here.

I also spent some time watching Summer Game Fest.
I am most excited for Persona pc ports, partly because they might be the few games my pc can still play in the coming years.
I am also excited for Wo Long. Can't wait to spend hours making waifus in character creator again! Just kidding, I put the boob slider on max and call it a day.
Team Ninja didn't do ridiculous boob physics for Nioh so there is no reason to expect they would do it for Wo Long either. I hope they do though.
