I'm writing this one a bit early because I want it published along with the release of Victory Force: Forever War.
If all goes well, this will be the first report patrons see. With that in mind, hi, howdy, how do you do?
Completed:
- Last pilot event
- Music jingles and sound
- Hacked in a volume control at the last minute
- Adjusted all 3 stages a bit
Victory Force: Forever War
Build1 is finally done. Took about 3 months. This seems to be the turn around time I am capable of for work of this size.
I envision 2 more updates for this game. 1 new pilot and 3 new stages per update. Each update will likely take the same amount of time as the first one to complete.
That is a harrowing thought. A small game like this will take almost a year of my life to make.
I won't work on these updates back to back, past experience says that is a good way to burn out. Plus, while I have the basic concepts for the remaining 2 pilots down, I still need time to script out their contents. More time is needed before I can start working on them.
So what's next?
I will run a poll on a few short comic ideas that I want to do before the next large bulk of work. Those ideas are meant to be short and will take at most 2 weeks to complete.
For larger things on the horizon, there is that horror game I wanted to make since last year. Given my production capability, if I want to have it ready by Halloween, I need to start thinking about it now. I will make a decision on pursuing it or not next month.
