Probably much too late to comment π€·π»ββοΈπ but I think the guy following Dean was meant to be Red Cap (also called Bloody Cap) a goblin from the UK that supposedly killed people and soaked its hat in their blood. In the tales the cap always bleeds fresh blood but I think the red hat was the showβs approximation. He would be a good choice to send if the Fae wanted Dean killed.

2020-08-25 04:43:52 +0000 UTCI think the old guy attacking Dean was a gnome - like those little garden gnome statues people have. Old, grumpy-looking, red hats usually.... This episode was terrific. Funny. Love seeing Dean work his comedic chops. How has he never been cast in a big romantic comedy flick?? Tons of alien/faerie pop-culture references in this, too. Just awesome.
