In the grand scheme of Doctor Who, I personally forget this episode even exists sometimes... Sidenote: A lot of people really love last season. There are some great parts (like the pilot, finale, and the The Beast Below), but I personally enjoy this season way more. Season 6 has a particularly interesting arc that really hit for me. If you're not keeping up, it can get confusing, but I love it. Some of my personal fav moments, characters, and aliens are in this season.

2020-08-09 06:41:42 +0000 UTCI like Supernatural's modern take on the Siren, but outside of that I'm not big on Siren stories because they always feel so cheesy with their way of seduction. But, I do like gimmick episodes like this because who doesn't like Pirates? I just wish the story was a bit stronger overall. It feels like this episode only exists to see Amy in a Pirate outfit which isn't a bad thing lol

2020-07-25 18:22:42 +0000 UTCWeak episode this one for me. Some nice ideas but mainly fell a bit flat. The tension with Amy having to save Rory felt contrived. I agree the idea of the med ship was cool - a nice reworking of the siren myth - but overall just not a great episode - possibly wold have enjoyed it ,more had it not been on the back of such a strong season opening
