Boils and locusts. Ew. Thunder and Lightning Raphael is back. No, no Sam is not ok. Sam is hella weird and unemotional now. Sam hounded Dean forever when he wanted to know what happened to Dean in hell. Sam always wanted to talk and get in the feelings. First it was weirdness with the baby and then letting a kid get tortured for information. Old Sam would never let that happen.

2020-07-13 19:37:55 +0000 UTCCool callback to having the same actor play Raphael from before!... Balthazar isn't the name of any pagan god I know of - it's the traditional name in Catholicism of one of the Wise Men/Magi who brought gifts to Jesus after His birth, after seeing a star in the sky announcing the advent of a new King of the Jews (the other Magi are Caspar and Melchior).... Great to see Castiel again! Was missing his lack of "people skills" LOL....Sam is a douche this season. I'm glad Dean finally said something. I don't get the feeling that being in 'the Cage' in hell is the same as Dean's experience. I assumed the cage was set off from hell in some way, it never seemed any demons had access to Lucifer when he was in the cage for so long. I don't know what Sam went thru, but he is definitely not the same.

2020-07-05 13:46:03 +0000 UTCI was waiting for Steven to bring up "something's wrong with Sam", because that was one of the questions going into Season 6 everyone had. "How is Sam back?" and "Is that really Sam?" etc. etc. I'm surprised you didn't remember Raphael from Season 5--they left him stuck in that Holy Fire Circle after Raphael warned him not to. So it's a carry-over storyline from 5 and I like the idea of the Angels trying to restart the Apocalypse while others used Castiel's rebellion as a path for their own like we saw with Balthazar here. Season 6 gets very interesting and I think there's only maybe an episode or two I wasn't fond of but this season is very strong story-wise.
