People afflicted with it do get second-degree burns from sunlight exposure but their skin doesn't literally start to burn and smoke. Nathan Fillion starred in this beloved one season series, and he plays the infamous Space Cowboy... Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds. Malcolm Reynolds is a beloved character to anyone who has ever loved cult classic TV series. And the costume he wears throughout this show is the very costume Nathan Fillion wore in Firefly. I love it!!! And fans of both shows love this episode of Castle for this moment! :)
