'Stolen car' (Debra Jeans) was left just outside of town and it was called in by Debra Jean who is now in Toelle. And then two missing persons reports came in. He didn't just show up in the first town he guessed. Idk, seems your problem is you feel Mahone should be dumber? He's a special agent who works for the FBI who's been tasked to lead and succeed at capturing other escape artists and he's former military too. I get we're normal people, so these things seem too crazy, but the truth is stranger than fiction in most cases.
