Would you really just let it go and not care, especially in the face of a steady flow of strange scenarios? The smaller things would start to take more meaning as well. Even if you didn't work for the police, I think most people would become pretty obsessed.

2020-06-10 04:59:12 +0000 UTCAs we advance in the series, the side stories (Laguerta and Angel) become less and less compelling. The writers tried, but lets face it, the story is about Dexter and to give the actor some kind of break they had to come up with some side stories. They just didn't do a very good job of it. MCH was in every important scene. Quite a load to carry especially since he had just undergone successful cancer treatment and is wearing a wig in season 5!

2020-06-09 16:56:19 +0000 UTCI think what you miss on Quinn is a basic fact about human nature. People get obsessed with stupid shit all the time. Look at all the flat earthers who feel a need to make videos and even do half baked experiments they think will prove the earth is flat. Look at all the crazy conspiracy theories people pursue to the point of hounding parents whose children were murdered in school shootings. Quinn thinks Dexter murdered his wife and has a connection to Trinity and where most people would shake it off as crazy Quinn can't let it go any easier than any other person who lets a conspiracy theory get stuck in their head. It's also not that far off or hard to believe but take into account his general dislike for Dexter from being seen talking money and Dexter refusing his bribes and you get a perfect recipe for obsession.
