I'm glad they didn't do a vampire story with them as well, we already had Harmony and Tara from Buffy in vamp stories. Also Buffy had a lot of witchcraft in it too! I wasn't a big fan of this episode in general, if it wasn't James or Charisma in the role it would have been quite lower down on my list. The story was quite slow in my opinion and could have been done a lot better. I did love the cupcake bit though I think the reason they didn't kill the witches is because they're too powerful and didn't know how to at the point. Then Don saves them from a leviathon so they have bigger fish to fry now. Dean ripping on Sam for his running - that's just brotherly banter, he used to make fun of Sam eating a salad too.

I totally disagree about this episode if they went down the lame and predictable road of vampires it would have sucked how Cliché! I loved the show because it was both actors in a different way and plus James’s real accent always throws me off ;p

see i was the opposite it was a good episode but if it was was too other random actors it would be lower like 7 or low 8 for me with James and Charisma is 8 or 9. They have already have Mercedes who played Harmony and Amber who played Tara appear on the show as Vampires so to me in this one it was cool seeing them as 2 powerful witches who by the way they didn't defeat and having the humor that comes from the witch battling stuff vs oh they are vamps all we have to do is come in chop off their heads. Buffy also had witches on it too not just Vamps remember that.

Just reacted to Buffy 2x3 and it's interesting to see James Marsters on the show looking forward to seeing more buffy.

I agree with everything Steve said. I do like the Sam/Dean moments but the “War of the Roses” part of the episode is so bad and somewhat cringey that I tend to skip it entirely on rewatches. I really expected to love an episode with Charisma and James, but oh well.

I love this episode. So many fun things. The Leviathan driving down the road listening to Bobby Goldsboro "Funny Little Clown" . Don Stark was suppose to be a reoccurring character according to a James Marsters interview. They asked him but they couldn't afford his fees he said. Either way I think this episode was a lot of fun & really good.

If you wondered what they said in their spell it's: ''The power of black magic, I condemn you to pain and death, obey my orders'' in an almost ineligible Romanian, haha it was so hard to understand :D Message from a Romanian here.

I find this episode fun mostly due to the guest stars; other than that, it’s a fairly middle-of-the road MOTW episode. There are a few fun crew easter eggs in this episode. The character of Jenny Klein is named after one of the show’s writers. Additionally, one of the paintings in Maggie’s art auction is of the show’s production designer Jerry Wanek and his dog. Unfortunately, this also marks the return of my least favorite writing duo of all time, Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (they previously wrote a single episode in season 1).

Sam: Open up, Dean! You need to talk to me! Dean: Sorry Sam. We're not currently parked next to a large body of water, so we can't have a deep, meaningful conversation right now.

Spike and Cordelia in Supernatural, who knew that would ever happen.
