I don't understand why anyone would like him either... even if he had redemption (barely) I still never liked him or I just didn't care for it

I would also like to point out that your reaction to Taylor is 100% how Luke reacts to Taylor ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

i am watching the show for the first time with you and i can only assume jesse has some huge redemption arc coming up later because so far. he is insufferable. he is terrible to both rory and luke, the two people who care about him most. he has an awful attitude and he's generally quite unlikable. i'm having a hard time understanding why anyone who watches the show would like him.

This show definitelt has some 10s coming up!

Love how you pick up on Jesses father, youre very quick.

Miriam

Very nicely put.

I agree with your feelings about Jess. At some point he needs to take responsibility. This was a great episode though. Luke was a highlight for me!

Some people say that Dean asked Lindsey to marry him so soon because of what happened at the fight! She saw him get violent with another girl's boyfriend over that other girl's feelings and it could've ticked her off as Dean still having feelings for Rory (which...let's be honest, it's not hard to imagine). So the whole wedding thing could've been Dean looking for a way to prove Lindsey he was over Rory (and I think it's not too crazy to imagine also ๐Ÿคท)

Dean getting married didn't surprise me at all when I first watched it. He always came across to me like that guy who wants to live that normal, boring, small town life. So it makes sense that getting married is important to him, even if he's young. And that's fine, there's nothing wrong with that, but Rory just had different aspirations and that's why she'll never understand how that could be something he wants. That's also why they could've never worked in the long-run. Rory always wanted more than that. With Jess I think she connected over their love of books and the fact that he was exciting and new and Rory felt like she could explore more things with him than she ever could with Dean. But yes, Jess has some deep personal issues bc of how he grew up and how he never had a parental figure. The first one to even try is Luke and Jess just can't understand why Luke cares so much about him, it's just something Jess is not used to at all. That's why he never talks about his feelings bc he doesn't believe anyone would care enough. Still super glad though that Luke finally drew a line in the sand. Jess has to figure his issues out on his own.

Yea I've never been a fan of her and Jess, but that is just me. Was never really a fan of the character or their relationship

J

Why the hell anyone ships him and Rory as a couple is beyond me! This is such a cowardly thing to do! He even says "I'll call you" knowing full fucking well he's leaving and not coming back. He didn't even break up with her. Lorelai and Sookie were insensitive here. I know they want the inn but DAMN! The woman isn't even in the ground, ladies! I laugh every time the band play! XD

AmyWonderland92

Love that scene of Lorelai singing to Rory lol

Mo

I donโ€™t know why, but Lorelai singing to Rory cracks me up every time, itโ€™s unexpected but also 100% their dynamic. This was a perfect Luke episode and I agree that the acting between him and Jess at the end felt authentic. Your face when Dean tells Rory heโ€™s engaged was exactly what I was waiting for ๐Ÿ˜‚. The lawyer from the funeral is Melissa McCarthyโ€™s husband Ben Falcone.
