2020-05-21 14:19:28 +0000 UTCI really loved Lundy and Deb’s rekindling. It did seem a touch out of character for Lundy, he’s so damn principled.. But love does make you act against your character.. so it wasn’t too hard to swallow, what happened between them. I just let myself enjoy it. The 30 year age gap strangely never bothered me. Their chemistry and love for each other was so convincing to me. Watching them always gave me butterflies.

2020-02-02 17:14:52 +0000 UTCWhat's good about the Batista, Laguerta relationship is that as the viewer on some level you know two things: 1. They are good for each other as Batista could stand to understand and navigate the politics of his job better and Laguerta could stand to be less politically motivated. 2. The relationship is doomed because I don't think either of the two can ever get to that middle ground that would benefit them both.

2020-02-02 16:13:55 +0000 UTCI have so much to say, sorry. The scene where Dexter realizes he doesn't want to lose his family is one of my favorite in the whole series. His acting! Wow! He killed zoey in the dead daughter's pink room so he had already disposed of the cop before he went back to the house to clean. I too didn't much like the Batista and Laguerta pairing. But it wasn't totally unbelievable. This whole season is about "can I have it all?" Be a husband, father AND a serial killer. It has progressed by showing the difficulties he encounters with family, community, and the last episode showed us Dexter feels trapped. Now in this episode he deals with "do I want to get out of this trap" and discovers he doesn't want to. It will continue to progress and all will be revealed. Most people consider this to be the best written and best overall season of Dexter so it is interesting to me that you don't seem to be down with it. While it is one of my favorites, it's one I least like to rewatch for reasons I won't state because they might be spoilers. But, I will point out that John Lithgow received a Golden Globe and an Emmy, Michael C Hall got an emmy nomination, won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for this season, so hang in there because it does ramp up considerably!
