I know the intro is long and it makes sense to skip, but you should watch the whole thing before episode 10, really hits home with all of the footage of what they went through. Also, Episode 5 is directed by Tom Hanks.

Men and women could often be killed for it, officially. And mobs would often take justice into their own hands.
