I thought it was really sad that Sam & Dean only got to know their brother thru a ghoul and that he was already dead. I would have liked it if they saved him since I liked Adam as a character but the show is about 2 brothers not 3 so I got that they didn't save him. Great reaction.

They were robbed of knowing him at all - though I certainly can understand John’s reasons for keeping him a secret. || Thanks for filming, even though you’re not feeling well. Sending prayers for your healing. XXOO

2020-01-06 03:21:48 +0000 UTCThe "jump the shark" bit is introducing a third brother so late in the game (remember this show was only planned for 5 seasons at the time) only for him to just be dead and ultimately forgotten left behind like most MOTW episodes. The only thing is... well, you'll see, just keep watching lol

2020-01-04 03:00:46 +0000 UTCI don't think that's necessarily true, he could move objects. Telekinesis not limited to demons. He just doesn't have great skill with his powers and the demon blood helps amplify, but I'm sure if he was drinking demon blood right then he could've pushed them away and removed the ropes or something. At least nothing I looked up says only on demons...

Although the demon blood makes him more irate or aggressive which in turn can make him sometimes a better fighter or stronger; he can't use his Supernatural abilities on anything but demon's. So he wouldn't have been able to use them against the ghouls in this episode. Anyway, see you next episode.

They often use the term jump the shark to refer to an episode when a show tried to add a family member when ratings were lagging. Although the term “jump the shark” started with a Happy Days episode, it was retro-actively applied to the Brady Bunch when they added cousin Oliver to the mix which is why the café at which Sam and Dean meet Adam is called “Cousin Olivers.” Also, when Sam and Dean enter the diner, a poster for the "Fonzarelli Water-Skiing Championship" can be seen on the wall. Great episode, great reaction.
