Easy 10 for me. This is SPN at its best.

WOW. WOW. This was epic! I absolutely LOVED this one. The meta KILLED. I had a huge grin on my face thru this whole thing while Sam and Dean were "learning" about themselves and the books. I'm kind of surprised the writers delved deep enough into the fandom to reference it, especially what was referred to as the 'Wincest' fanfic above (gross). What must the actors think about their characters being used that way??? I thought the actor who played Chuck nailed his character. And I loved Castiel coming thru sneakily to help Dean. Sam is going to pay a high price for his arrogance, I swear (and I fear). Not sure I want to see that played out, whatever it is, but it sure seems headed in that direction. Would have wanted to give this a 10, but I agree with you about the lack of emotional punch. But this was a terrific choice for the writers to make, regardless.

Ah this episode. There's a great moment in your reaction that I'll be referencing a year or two from now lol. This ones a 10 for me.

1) Great episode! Thanks for this Christmas present and happy holidays to you and your family! 2) 7:13 - actually, Sam/Dean aka Wincest was the leading pairing in SPN slash fandom. It was pushed to a second place around season 5.

Sam/Dean :-D

I call them the special episodes because we always see in these episodes (there will be more in the future) an incredible situation where an episode isn't filmed in a typical way, it isn't an investigation or just an action that follows the main plot, in this episode we discover for example that books have been written about them, that there are an underground cult and it's kind of an interaction with us the fans. I love these episodes. I loved this episode, Chuck is funny and kind, he wants to help the brothers. I think Sam is so hooked on the idea that Dean has been weak since his return from hell that he justifies drinking blood by saying helping his brother when in the end it's not true, they always managed to beat everyone without needing Sam's demonic powers. They can succeed without and together. But Sam becomes arrogant, thinking that he's the only one who can stop everything and we see that Dean is trusting him less and less.
