So About Last Night.

So how's it going ladies and gentlemen, hopefully everybody's having a great morning and a great day. So last night I attempted to do some live reactions of a few shows. I wanted to just kind of hang out distress watch a show with you guys and have a good time. Was a unnecessary stressful weekend for me and I just wanted to do what we do and just watch a show and have a talk after.


During the reaction a very popular streamer chose me at random to raid. Which is mind blowing and a big deal and would have been a life changing benefit to an average streamer that was trying to grow his/her audience with Twitch.


But those of you that watch me live know that during the reaction process I make sure to do the reaction like I normally do them off stream, do the review like I normally do them. I stop the recording process and hop into the chat to discuss and just kind of hang out for a bit before we move to the next show.


 So what happened last night was the raid happen during the reaction process and I didn't engage with the raid or acknowledg'd the raid or acknowledge that chat or thank the raider when it was happening.


This led to a large spamming of stuff in the chat section. Many that came from the raid were upsets and thought that I was just streaming a re-recording or a pre-recording and the chat kind of turned for the negative and that led to people sending me messages or whispers on twitch which was just a lot of a name calling and calling me ungrateful because I wasn't engaging with the chat. People waned to voice their opinion so much that some even donated money to criticize me for not engaging with the chat. Saying they were going to report me and get my twitch shut down. Telling me to give them what they want and essentially give the chat the acknowledgement they "deserve" and they would stop spamming.


By the time that I realized what was happening and I was raised I guess the raid was bringing in over 4000 new viewers and it kind of bombarded and overwhelmed me as well as The Mods so a lot of that situation was me just trying to let them know what this is how this works tell them a spamming over here is not something that we allow which then turned to more spamming which then turned to people getting upset which then turned to people getting banned then it turned to people getting accidentally banned it just became a lot.


 Not everyone that came over was negative there were plenty of people that were very positive and just kind of wanted to show some support and just hang out and kind of see how the stream worked but the few negative which lets say 10% of the 4,000 still felt like a lot for a small stream like us. I dont have many mods and it kind of ruin everything for everyone else.


 One thing I wanna make sure that I let everyone know is that I'm extremely grateful for anyone that wants to raid the channel I understand what kind of big deal that is and if I was streaming a video game and I was a regular streamer that would have been the biggest deal to have that many people come in to have that many people follow to have them in the people sub but since what we do here isn't really typical streamer stuff it kind of turned ugly and became just very overwhelming.


Yeah I guess according to people we were put into this large streamers sub reddit and called ungrateful and many other things of that nature. 


So I just wanted to make this post to let you guys know what happened just in case most of you weren't there and didn't see what was happening or anything like that.


I appreciate those that tried to let the raiders know what was happening and how it worked. Those that tried to keep the peace and keep things as far from chaotic as possible.
