Not that much of a controversial opinion for me at least, I'm not a big fan of the pilot either. But then again, I genuinely love seasons 6 and 7 while a lot of people seem to hate the post-Sorkin years with a passion, so maybe I'm not the best gauge of public opinion.

2019-11-17 03:29:45 +0000 UTCYour going to react to The Expanse? Yay it's the best show!

2019-11-17 01:13:18 +0000 UTCRight, I didn't watch the movie before watching the show and it didn't throw me for a huge loop.

2019-11-17 01:04:59 +0000 UTCYeah I definitely see where you're coming from; the movie can be helpful in understanding two of the main characters and some of the basic premise of the film are pretty useful when watching the series, though I also agree that there is no necessity for Geeked Out Nation to make a reaction video of the movie. Watching it to get some background is great, but do not feel that it is necessary to react to it.

2019-11-16 23:55:06 +0000 UTCGeeked Out Nation... I don't mean to add even more to your list of shows to watch, or make more work for you, but it's been awhile since you've reacted to Pushing Daisies. If you do not have tine to continue watching it, please don't feel obligated to. I completely understand. But if you can, I would love it if you continue watching it for me. :) Thank you!

2019-11-16 22:35:37 +0000 UTCPS: I also agree that even though it's not vital I also suggest you watch the original Stargate movie first.

2019-11-16 21:42:45 +0000 UTCI don't know if any other people have requested the pilot for The West Wing, but if it's my request I asked that you watch episode 1x3 "A Proportional Response" because I agree with J.D. above me that the pilot is not the best episode to get into the show and per your rules change from a few month ago it doesn't need to be the pilot episode to be requested. Thanks :-)

2019-11-16 21:40:24 +0000 UTCMOAR HANNIBAL ... Incidentally, the West Wing is the greatest show ever made, but controversial opinion: I'm not that big a fan of the pilot.

2019-11-16 21:27:11 +0000 UTCHandmaid's tale is over rated, it's mostly just shock value. If no one asked for it, maybe just finish the season (like 3 ep left) and put it on hold? I saw plenty of good tv shows on your list that are more deserving of your reaction. Thank you! :))

2019-11-16 21:26:58 +0000 UTCYou can definitely understand the series without watching the movie, but people would be confused by what’s happening at first, confused by the settings, and a number of the characters, mainly our two main characters are introduced in the movie. Without watching the movie, a person won’t feel for these characters as much without knowing about their backgrounds. I still feel it’s important for Geeked Out Nation to watch the movie. And Geeked Out Nation... don’t feel like you have to create a reaction video for the movie should you choose to to watch it first, but if you did, I would definitely be very happy to watch it. :) Heidi

2019-11-16 21:24:51 +0000 UTCNope, Actually forgot to add that to my reaction board, Sorry about that. No one has mentioned that I had not done it the whole time. I cant believe I didn't have it on the board. Sorry about that.

2019-11-16 21:16:41 +0000 UTCI agree. I’d rather see current shows more often than add a bunch of new ones.

2019-11-16 21:16:10 +0000 UTCIf you going to watch Stargate SG-1 you need to watch the movie. It sets up the entire universe plus half of characters. Question: did you drop Handmaid's tale from your roster? It's been 1.5 months since last episode.
Scarlett Monrow
2019-11-16 21:14:40 +0000 UTCThere's not really anything that I think you should add to that list, it seems pretty long and comprehensive as is. I'm just really looking forward to whenever you get to The Expanse, The Americans, Good Omens, The West Wing and Stargate.
Joel Nordlander
2019-11-16 21:13:25 +0000 UTCI don't really think it's necessary to watch the movie before watching the series. I watched all of Stargate SG-1 and both spin-offs before ever seeing the movie and never had any trouble with understanding things. But maybe that's just a matter of different experiences and perspectives.
Joel Nordlander
2019-11-16 21:10:05 +0000 UTCHello! I am looking forward to a number of these Pilot reactions from you. However, you ought to know that before you watch the first two episodes of Stargate SG-1, you really should watch the movie that is set before the events of the series. Otherwise, it will be difficult for you to understand all that’s going on in the series and you might not enjoy it as much. The movie is simply titled Stargate, starring James Spader and Kurt Russell. It’s really good too. Heidi
