You actually are pretty observant because you noticed those blue screen flashes that pop up from time to time when showing The Machine's point of view at this stage of the series. Those screens actually do carry meaning and some serious next level easter eggs--but you won't be able to do any research (no pun intended) on their meanings without viewing series information that will contain spoilers (unless you know how to read code). Just know that the level of detail of this show is ultra ridiculous and even things like the business card with the phone number on it that Harold hands to Shaw in the cemetary was a working phone number for a time (when the show was on network television) that when dialed took you to a recorded message for Harold Wren, insurance agent.

2020-01-21 07:30:16 +0000 UTCSorry man, sometimes I feel when I watch these reactions that our guy here needs a little nudge on what to look out for. It’s frustrating to watch him not getting that the government and HR are two completely unrelated entities. So I deemed a nudge is worthy. Saying I like Roots arch gives away zero so not a spoiler and saying I love Shaw doesn’t spoil anything. To think a one off character would get a whole episode so different and never appearing again is pretty naive. I have said nothing spoilery in all my comments so kindly keep your opinion to yourself and get over it.

2019-11-26 19:38:43 +0000 UTCYay! Thank you again for another great reaction for Person of Interest. I really enjoy this episode overall, and you've now been introduced to Sameen Shaw, played by actress... Sarah Shahi who is a great actress whom I really like in many shows and movies too. However, I absolutely love Shaw's character the most out of any role she's ever played, as well as her partner's character, Michael Cole, played by actor... Ebon Moss-Bachrach. I was sad when Shaw's partner, Cole was killed off, but I loved the moment in this episode when Cole immediately jumps between Shaw and the bullets to protect her, giving his life for her. He definitely cared about her very much, and given that Shaw doesn't feel emotions like everyone, from her reaction you can tell she really did care about him too. I love Shaw's determination to go after their boss upon finding out he set them both up to be killed, then shoots him to get her revenge in the end. And yet she also understands that she's done good for the government and protected good people, or killed bad people, and therefore I love how she wanted to protect however the numbers she had been given. Like you... I love how this episode was shown through Shaw's point of view, making Reese and Finch more like secondary characters throughout this episode. I love each of their interactions, especially in the very end after Reese, Finch, Fusco, Carter, and even Leon Tao save her life when she's supposedly killed by Control's number one thug... Hersch. Brilliant! I loved how they saved Shaw, then how Finch offered her his card which sets up the possibility for Shaw to come back into the show at some point. Like you... I love that she's someone who can fight like Reese and that there's a good chance of her being a recurring character in the future. :) Overall... a brilliant episode! And I love it! Thank you so much for another great reaction. Until next time...

2019-11-20 02:26:20 +0000 UTCShaw said she has "a Axis 2 Personality Disorder". She is probably referring to Schizoid personality disorder, a tendency towards a solitary or sheltered lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness, detachment and apathy.

2019-11-17 07:37:10 +0000 UTCOne could see the sort of significance of Shaw being different whenever you see the world through a surveillance camera. The Maschine marks every person (or object like a plane) differently. Direct threats to Harold or John are usually framed in red. Here Shaw and her partner were framed in blue which we haven't seen before AFAIK.

2019-11-15 20:28:29 +0000 UTCWe need a patreon tier where the reward is him making a full-blown conspiracy board with photos and push pins and yarn to keep track of PoI plots!

2019-11-15 19:43:10 +0000 UTCThis is an excellent episode and one of the bigger "reveals" so far - there's a whole other side to the machine that's just being hinted at, and now you know exactly what Special Counsel's role is in all of this (and what Corwin and Weekes were up to in the prior season). So, at this point, you have the following threads: 1. Whatever Kara Stanton was up to in that facility before Snow blew her up in her car, and whoever the guy was in that hospital she was talking to; 2. Root, attempting to track down the machine while operating from within the Office of Special Counsel; 3. Special Counsel himself, trying to keep the machine under wraps and track down Harold in order to ensure that everything is kept secret with his own personal Reese-clone Hersh killing anyone who knows anything; 4. Alonzo Quinn's leaner, less powerful HR attempting to regain control over their operations in the city from Carl Elias; and 5. Carl Elias attempting to increase his influence in the city from the safety of Rikers. There's a huge amount of... stuff... going on at this stage, and it's a lot to keep track of, especially when you're reacting to a whole bunch of shows. I'd suggest binging your way through to the finale as quickly as you can so you don't forget anything... or in the alternative, make a little chart of who's tied up with who.

2019-11-15 19:15:39 +0000 UTCDerek: Just FYI, even saying things like "Root's arc coming up" is a spoiler. Just don't post anything about anything that has not already happened and been revealed in prior episodes. Even suggesting that you like Shaw as a character is telling the reactor that she'll be back, which he may have assumed, but you shouldn't confirm. I assume he reads these comments, and it would be good for him to get some of the info filled in that he missed through them. But this sort of crap makes me think he should avoid them.

2019-11-15 17:59:01 +0000 UTCYes. Intro skipping is very frustrating to me. I can't recall when the intros start changing, but in some cases they are actually part of the episode. Every time he skips I think 'I hope he didn't miss anything'. I think it's around now.

2019-11-15 16:29:34 +0000 UTCI agree and the intro in season 3 4and 5 are all different. Such a good introduction to such an awesome character. I love some Shaw!!! Without spoilers, it’s going to be great to see his reaction to Root’s arch coming up! The end of this season is great, then the show really takes off in season 3

2019-11-15 16:17:52 +0000 UTCGo back and watch the intro, they mix it up a bit for this one. Love this episode especially nice to see more Root.

2019-11-15 15:59:11 +0000 UTCSo she went to the drug dealers place because they’re less likely to be cops called at gunshots and there would definitely be supplies, etc. Plus she probably didn’t want to terrorize innocent people so why not go there where people are morally questionable. As far as the blue boxes, if you notice, John, Harold, Carter, and Fusco have yellow boxes, bad guys have red boxes and everyone else is white. This is the machine identifying assets. Blue is relevant assets, yellow is irrelevant assets.
