2019-11-13 05:34:31 +0000 UTCI think your rating system is very fair. This two parter is not that great and is something I have tended to skip on rewatches. There are always the meh episodes and I cringe a bit when I know you have to watch one of them. lol I noticed this that when they show TV news in an episode, the American anchors are always over the top with their reporting. That's pretty accurate. The other thing is I feel that the Doctor didn't create any trust with the general of UNIT, so it was hard for him to do as the Doctor said. All he had to go by was reputation and the Doctor's behaviors and the Doctor waltzed in making demands without listening himself or building any kind of trust up, so from the General's perspective, he has to put humanity first and has no real reason to fully trust the Doctor (who from the General's perspective comes off rude, arrogant, demanding, and is an alien), so I kind of understand where he was coming from on not blindly doing as told even though it would have been better to listen.
