She mentioned that she had a class in Hartford on a specific day and would always go that coffee shop at specific time so if Max happened to be there, she wouldn't avoid him.

2019-09-28 20:39:33 +0000 UTCI love how the stereotype is reversed in this show - daughter (Rory) is punctual and loves to study and do her homework while her mom (Lorelai) would rather chat with Rory and Lane than study for her tests :D And I mean, it would have been amazing if Luke punched Rune (or whatever his name is), but it's not really who he is :D And the chemistry between Luke and Lorelai is off the charts!! :)

It wasn't a huge lie, but Rory knew Lorelai wouldn't be okay going along with it, which is why they didn't want to tell her. But it's not like Lorelai really got that mad. She just made Rory go home and not talk to Dean for the rest of the night.
