i love lea michelle's voice i really do but the way the writers were always trying to shove the idea that her voice was better than amber riley's was absolutely insane to me lol

This is one of my top ten favorite glee episodes! I loved all of the song choices that they made, but my all time favorite will always be the My Life would Suck without You number. I love the song, loved their cover of it, and their dance was awesome! When I first saw the dance it took me a couple of seconds to realize that they were doing a mashup of all of the dances that they had done throughout the season. I thought that was a very creative move.

The last performance the glee club did was them reenacting some of the choreography from previous numbers earlier in the season. Like the weird humping was from the Push It number they did at the assembly.

And in real competition, you never, want to be shown performing the same number that another group does. The only exception, and this isn't common at all, and that's when you have a competition where all groups are performing the same material (and you almost never see that). In this episode, you could get away with a performance of "Don't Stop Believing" as their performance wouldn't be the same as the choir, but the other two pieces are the same arrangement.

David, Rachel is shown to be truly driven and creates performances all the time. While her voice might not be equal or better then Mercedes, in show, she is shown being utterly obsessive about always trying to perfect her craft. We don't see that from any of the others, at least no where near that degree. None of the male singers have as strong of voice as either Rachel or Mercedes. Finn truly doesn't have a strong voice (there are worse in the cast), but like in real life, his character is "leading man" material and a lot of that is based on his being already a star and a leader in High School. In a standard High School choir, that wouldn't be an issue. in almost all cases the best voice would get the lead. But in performance based singing, your stage presence plays a large part.

This is the episode that I finally admitted to myself that Rachel has a really really really good voice.😂
