2020-05-26 07:54:13 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite episodes of season 1. Nick is hands down the best character imo. He’s not so much stubborn as he is reluctant to try new things; like he said, he doesnt do things if he doesn’t know what’s gonna happen. I understand why he yelled at Jess on the beach - he was scared. I really liked that scene because he’s been putting up such a brave face for his friends but in that moment he broke. And you can’t really blame Nick for saying Jess doesnt know how to he real. He knows how bright she is, and how she becomes the center of attention wherever she goes - which is probably why he wouldnt want her to speak at his funeral. I think Nick has abandonment issues and is pretty hard on himself. Jess maybe tells jokes in sad times to cheer people up, but she’s a very emotional person, I think the fact that she was trying to lighten the mood when all of Nicks friends were grieving made him feel his fear was unjustified. Seeing his friends scared for him may have been the only reason he was able to hold himself back for so long, knowing his own fear WAS justified.

2020-05-25 18:55:37 +0000 UTCNick is my favorite. He cares a lot in my opinion. He just has a hard time saying he does or showing it lol. It's interesting that you see yourself in him. When you get more into the show I wonder if your opinion on him will change.
