It was also jarring to me the first time I watched this when the President didn't know who Helo was, as I hadn't really thought about the fact that the guy's been separated from the fleet since the mini-series and has missed everything we've seen in the series up to now. Even Kara's missed a lot having only been gone a few weeks(?), so I can only imagine how Helo feels, lol.

2020-05-17 16:50:18 +0000 UTCin the scene where roslin directs men to put sharon out the airlock, i read kara's initial inaction and eventual move to hand roslin the arrow a bit differently than you did. i don't think kara was indifferent about sharon's fate - certainly not as motivated as helo to protect her, but at the very least conflicted. i think she took a beat to read the room and think about what she could do or say that would make a difference. if she had joined helo in protesting, the others would have dismissed her as compromised by the cylons too. when she put the arrow in front of roslin, it gave any intel sharon might actualy have about finding the tomb more concrete and immediate value. without the arrow, finding the tomb would still be important, but not as urgent - and probably not a good enough reason to keep a dangerous enemy around. by handing roslin the arrow, kara helps her realize they should at least hear what sharon has to say about finding the tomb before they toss her out the airlock. it bought sharon some time to make her case. maybe?
