Don’t apologize, the female characters, the characters of color, the handicap able and the non-straights were for the most part, written by three white males. 2 straight, one gay. There’s not going to be a truthful representation of identities without a more diverse writer’s room. We just have to take it for what it was. They tried to push the envelope at the time, and that’s nothing to scoff at. But all minorities and women weren’t exactly represented fairly. But Glee tried and at the time, I appreciated it.
