i loved almost all of this episode, except the Deb and Quinn thing, everytime I watch this episode I get chills when Dexter screams in the bathroom, Michael C Hall killed it, I love this season

2020-07-26 04:52:49 +0000 UTCI liked this episode a lot, the Rita stuff hit with me at first just because of how awkwardly handled it was. It felt more real because how does someone like Dexter handle that and I think it was handled in the Dexter way and made it more emotional. He may be a robot but at this point he's a broken robot. Deb being an emotional thot doesn't surprise me but yeah it makes Quinn seem like a chump, constantly used. So far, so good, liking the direction.

2020-05-09 21:36:37 +0000 UTCI honestly liked this season, there were parts i didn't love but overall not a bad season at all. Of course other seasons are much better. I really don't like rest of the series after season 5 though, sadly, maybe a few story lines but not as a collective.

2020-05-09 21:04:44 +0000 UTCI honestly don't remember anything about Season 5 other than Julia Stiles being a character or where I stopped story-wise (I don't even remember what the plot was) so this will be sort of fun to relive? Plus it gives me an excuse to finish the show, albeit at a very slow pace lol

So doing it at the finale I think was probably a better choice. Personally I dont think the show ever really gets bad. It has bad moments sure but what doesnt.

2020-05-09 17:06:38 +0000 UTCI too hated that Deb and Quinn had sex. Barf. But, I thought Dexter killing the guy made sense. He has all this pent up rage and can't get vengence cause Trinity is already dead. But, killing this guy didn't help either. I totally loved the opportunity to grieve Rita (for me). When she says "By Dexter Morgan" it was our last goodbye also. I cried and cried and the very end I bawled. Yes, last season realized that Rita and the kids were important to him but he never said I love you. He didn't really understand what love is. The the revelation that he loved her was huge, and very sad. It really does set up the rest of the season perfectly.

2020-05-09 16:29:56 +0000 UTCI really like this episode! It just shows how much Dexter has evolved. From just dating as a cover story to being capable of feeling love! And also I think its brilliant how he acted - also with the kids! He‘s just not himself because he is so shocked about ritas death! He normally can come up with cover stories, or beeing empathic to the kids. But this time he really cracked and he can‘t pretend to be normal! Thank you for still filming dexter even though its not on youtube! I Really enjoy watching this show again with your commentary!

2020-05-09 16:29:03 +0000 UTCThis is an odd episode in contrast to the other show the actor stars in Six Feet Under, in this episode Dexter is admiring a funeral director but in Six Feet Under he was the funeral director and talked to dead people like how he does with Harry in Dexter, it's odd but there are similarities to both characters he plays still.
