I’m new here. What’s the schedule like cuz there’s only so many times I can watch Jimmy watch this lol

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

I don't think they ever confirmed it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the guy Peter killed wasn't actually FBI, and Greer set him up as well.

I know the intro is different each season but if he watches one of them from season 4 then he has seen the intro that will be used for season 4, other then the quick highlight from the episode that could also be considered a little spoiler to some. I can only think of one episode from all of season 4 that is slightly different then the rest?

CJ

please don't skip the intro anymore!

Definitely start watching the intros next season!!

Love this episode. This show starts out as a standard number-of-the-week show and it just gradually evolves into this brilliant exploration of surveillance and artificial intelligence. The court scenes show that dilemma particularly well as it's hard to disagree with either Finch, Collier or even Control.

Inseriousity

This is one of my favorite season finales ever (under Buffy season 2 and 5, Alias season 2, and Lost season 3). Loved all of it. About Lionel not being targeted... the reason that Root, Harold, Reese, and Shaw and the nerds specifically are targeted by Samaritan is not because of their threat to society (although they might have popped up because that as well) but because of their threat specifically to Samaritan. Lionel doesn't know about Samaritan, or the Machine. He's just a cop who sometimes appears in sticky situations.

ONe of my favorite tv seasons ever. What a finale. This show is so freaking good

Man...I feel SO sorry for Collier. The whole time he thought he was fighting for a cause...only to realize that he was never in control of anything. And that he was just a pawn. Used by the people he was fighting against. Greer needed him for his own agenda to convince the government they needed Samaritan. And now Vigilance will be remembered for blowing up a bunch of innocent people. That is so sad. Collier is such a tragic character. 😭

Thank you for your reaction. This episode should go down in history in my opinion, as one of the greatest. The twist was so amazing, nobody saw it coming. And you can really feel the despair of the situation with the soundtrack at the end with Root's voiceover. Love everything about this episode and this season. Can't wait for season 4.

"Calculating response.." always gives me chills. John Greer was steps ahead of everyone! He created Vigilance and tended to use them to hide his operations. Vigilance made a big show at the bank all while a Decima operative stole the Samaritan drives out from under Finch and Claypool. Vigilance was also around when Decima needed Cyrus Wells in order to get access the that powerful processor prototype they needed to run Samaritan. Once Greer had Samaritan and the hardware to run it, he needed the government surveillance feeds. In order to get that, he needed to convince someone in the government whose has the authority to give it to him, but he knows that they are already using the Machine (Northern Lights). So he useed Vigilance to expose Northern Lights, forcing the government to shut it down and leaving them without a system to give them relevant numbers. Greer then had the opportunity to sell them the idea of using Samaritan as a replacement. Then in a final push to get the senator and Control on board, he orchestrated the mass murder of civilians and police and placed the blame right on Vigilance and be like "see Senator? This is why you need Samaritan", and boom! Greer now has the feeds and Samaritan lives. I love love love season 3b so much. It’s crazy how far the series has come, especially after Carter’s death. Her death is definitely a shifting point in scope of the series. I remember you thinking right after Carter’s death that the rest of the season would be hunting for Simmons and that he would be the big bad. I remember thinking “oh man, Simmons is but an ant compared to what is coming.” :P
