Arrow "Pilot" 1x1 Reaction (Brother)

Just starting your Arrow reaction, super excited for it. Curious, though, if you plan to react to all the shows in the Arrowverse, and if so, do you plan to react to them in order? Asking because they do crossover every season so if you just blow through Arrow without adding the other shows as they come up, you will miss some info.

well this was a pleasant surprise!When I saw the notification for this, I almost flipped! It's great to watch this show again from the very beginning. Arrow has such a great cast, great writing, awesome fight scenes, cool background music, and great twists and turns! I haven't seen the pilot in ages and I forgot how good it was!

That sequence from him breaking out of the zipties, the fight and the chase, with that music kicking in - man that still gets me. That's one of my favourite TV scenes of any show.

Great reaction. Glad you enjoyed it. As pilots go, I frikkin love this opening. It has its flaws - like the odd bit of clumsy exposition dialogue - and some of the characters play very much as archetypes at this stage - but I think it does everything it needed to do, to set the stage and intro the characters.

When Laurel was talking about how she couldn’t mourn her sister properly because she was torn between being angry and sad she said “that’s what happens when your sister dies while screwing your boyfriend”. I’m not sure if you understood what she was saying here. You did not really have much of a reaction to this part, and at the end of the ep you said you weren’t sure if Oliver and Laurel dated. Oliver and Laurel were dating when Oliver took Sara on his boat trip. He was cheating on Laurel with Sara. This is not a spoiler.
