narrowed it down to two people, not six :) became of lights idiotic mistake in killing her and the agent, their deaths, especially hers abled L in narrowing down his suspects very very quickly

The close up on the eyes was basically meant to make us think "shxt his good, if his willing to throw away something like that" and worry even more about whether or not and how L could take him down
