So he's a "method actor" Which is awesome and clearly works for him. The dude that was originally cast to play Marty McFlys Dad in back to the future, was a method actor and was an absolute nightmare to work with, so after several months of shooting, they scrapped what the could and replaced him. 2024-11-15 00:00:20 +0000 UTCYou guys are almost halfway through season one already. The first season is the shortest because Shawn and Marlon didnβt like the direction it was going in. Like Shawn said at John Witherspoonβs funeral, the people in charge had their reservations with him as the father. From what Iβve heard, Witherspoon would always go off script and it would annoy the directors. People eventually realized that when working with John Witherspoon, itβs always best to let him do him.
